I have never successfully poached an egg. I would try and the eggs were always dripping wet from the water and it would gross me out. I found it frustrating because I do love poached eggs and would order them at restaurants. It was just my replication of poached eggs that would consistently fail. I did not know there was such a thing as an egg poacher, so when I found out about this, I had to give it a try. I was determined to complete my quest of a successful poached egg. And I finally did it! Warm fuzzy for me! The eggs were perfect! Even my daughter enjoyed the results.
The fact that I was able to do that is the best thing about these egg poachers. The next best thing is that it is incredibly easy to use. I just sprayed the inside with non-stick spray before putting the egg inside and then turned it upside down onto the plate once it was done. The egg fell right out. The best thing after that? Easy clean up. Just pop these babies in the dishwasher and they come out clean. I also love the colors - very vibrant. I think it is because of the colors that my daughter is eager to use them, as well. Recommended.
