Review: Slimmin Suzie

I love the luxurious feeling of body wraps. As I sit in my home, it gives me a sense of being in a spa. The Slimmin Suzie detox wrap does a wonderful job in providing me that feeling. The thick feeling of the clay on my fingers and on my torso was relaxing and comforting.

The wrap itself is made from the same material as ACE bandages. It is stretchy and soft, yet firm enough to hold. I figure after the clay is gone, I can still use the bandages in my first aid kit at home.
That being said, there are no instructions accompanying this wrap. But that is not a big deterrent. I determined that all I had to do was add a small amount of water to the powdered clay packs. I went online to their website to confirm. Use more water to cover a larger area and less water if you want to concentrate on one site. It can be used anywhere on your body - tummy, thighs, butt, etc. I used it on my tummy.
What I learned after the first wrap - do not leave it on for longer than the recommended hour. I left it on for an hour and a half because I was distracted with other tasks. I found a trail of dried clay behind me as I walked through the house. So, just watch it as it dries. It can create a mess.

Review: Petite Plus Super Weight Loss

I have tried a number of weight loss supplements this past year. Thankfully, all have been made with natural ingredients and the Petite Plus Super Weight Loss is no different.
Since beginning this supplement, my weight loss has not been significant. There has been some, but it has not been extraordinary. What I have noticed, however, is a slight increase in energy and a major decrease of stress levels. In fact, that is one of the benefits it touts - stress reliever. I am not sure what ingredient in this supplement makes that happen, but it is a wonderful benefit.
I know, as a stay-at-home mom, how much stress can I have? Plenty. Other stay-at-home moms feel me on this one, I am sure. Many days, I do not know how I am going to get everything done. I manage somehow, but at the age of 34, my hair is a combination of white and gray.
I leave it up to you to decide whether or not to try this.

Review: NatuerLabs Mouth Guard

I have a confession to make. I grind my teeth - a lot. I've done it my whole life and now, at the age of 34, my teeth are teeny. I had a dentist who once compared them to adult teeth that were coming in.
I'm not sure why I do it, but it happens every night in my sleep - much to my husband's dismay. I also do it
occasionally when I am suffering from a low blood sugar. From what I understand, it is a very unpleasant noise.
I finally got a NatuerLabs Mouth Guard to help protect my teeth and to help my husband get a more restful night's sleep. I am happy to say that so far, I have no complaints. At first, wearing this mouth guard at night was uncomfortable. There was some slight pinching going on, but I think I just had to get used to it. Also, I am a chronic mouth breather, so I have had to make some adjustments in my nightly breathing habits. So, the mouth guard is not all peaches and cream. However, I am also happy to report that my teeth are no longer grinding together. My husband has not heard any unpleasant noises coming from my side of the bed.
This is a good product to get for teeth grinders. Check them out on Amazon.

Review: VeryDirtyCarpets Spot & Stain Remover

As the mother of two children - ages 8 and 2 - carpet stains are a regular part of my life. And the stains are caused by a wondrous variety - spaghetti sauce, lemonade, mud, laundry detergent, clay and even dirty diapers. Sometimes, mysterious stains appear and I have no idea what caused them. No one else knows, either. Funny how that happens, huh?

Last night, I sprayed Spot & Stain Remover on a lemonade stain on my living room carpet. First, I soaked up some lemonade residue, then I sprayed a moderate amount on the stain. Using a brush, I gently agitated the area. It is very important not to scrub the area. I then blotted it with a cloth until most of the moisture was absorbed. After it was fully dry, I then vacuumed it. The results? A stain-free, non-sticky carpet.
That alone was enough to sing about. I also appreciate that there is no overpowering scent accompanying this cleaning fluid. There is a very faint smell, but it is not unpleasant.
   This one is a winner!

Review: Zenda Slim

I love to try different weight loss supplements - all in the quest to find a miracle supplement that works for me. In my ongoing quest, I tried Zenda Slim.
The instructions for this product are very simple - one
capsule taken one to two times per day with meals. As usual, it is recommended to use this product in conjunction with a sensible diet and exercise program.
I love the ingredients in these capsules - green coffee bean, green tea leaf, apple cider vinegar, grapefruit, kelp, anhydrous caffeine, acai fruit, African mango and resveratrol. I feel clear headed and light when I take these. I don't feel jittery or tense. My brain isn't bouncing all over the place. I have energy to keep up with my two-year-old and eight-year-old. Yes, there is caffeine, but it is the equivalent to drinking half a cup of coffee. I have seen some weight loss results. I would say since I started taking this supplement, I have lost roughly six pounds. I can be happy with that.
I recommend trying this product out.

Review: Fitness Answered F.A.T Melter

With a name like F.A.T Melter, you expect the fat to disappear rather quickly. I have not seen my rolls shrink significantly, but I have seen the numbers on the scale reduce. And I'm always happy about that!

The instructions are simple. Two capsules a day along with some dietary guidelines. Drink eight to ten cups of water and do not eat any carbohydrates until supper. So, during the day, put your focus on vegetables and protein. Stay away from the starches, fruits and processed foods. No Chips Ahoy until supper!!
That is very easy to me to follow and I'm sure anyone else can easily do it, as well. Try having a couple of eggs with chopped mushrooms for breakfast. For dinner, a nice homemade vegetable soup. Snacks in between? Carrot sticks, cheese sticks and jerky. Voila!
These capsules are loaded with the ingredients that claim to be weight loss aids - green tea extract, green coffee bean, raspberry ketone, forskolin, garcinia cambogia. It was only a matter of time before all of those were married together.
I've seen results with this and I do recommend it.

Review: Night ProVision USB Rechargeable Taillight

Yes, it is cold outside, but that does not mean I cannot get items for warmer weather. Like items for bicycle riding. Now, I do not have a bike myself, but my daughter does and she loves it! You can bet that whenever she plays outside in the warmer weather, she is riding her bicycle.

And I love that. She's getting awesome exercise and having fun. But, I do sometimes worry about her not being seen by drivers in the street. While she mainly rides her bike on the sidewalks, occasionally she rides across the road to get to another sidewalk. I like to have items that will make her stand out to drivers - especially when the sun is making it's descent.
The Night ProVision USB Rechargeable Taillight is an item that helps me do that. It is bright and water and shock resistant. So, I know it will stand up to her rough and tumble riding. I like that you can change the intensity of the light, as well.
The best part? No batteries. As the name suggests, you can charge it with a USB cable, which it already comes with. Now, I do wish the attachment mechanism was more reliable, but that it nothing my mechanic husband cannot fix.

Review: Thin Botanicals Body Wrap

After hearing about body wraps for so long, I was anxious to give one a try. I did not expect miraculous results, but I did receive a little bit of results. I received the four wraps and since I have, I have lost one and a half inches on my belly,
which is my major problem area after having two children. So, the results are not miraculous. They certainly did not make me feel confident to finally slip into that bikini that's been collecting dust in my closet, but they got me closer to it, at least.
The biggest thing I noticed was that the skin on my belly is tighter. And that alone is a relief.
The wraps are very simple to apply. You don't need any help with them. And the adhesive on the back really sticks to your skin. In fact, that is about the only negative I have to say about this product. The adhesive really works and when you take the wrap off (after about nine hours), be prepared for some pulling.
This is a fine product to use along with a decent diet and some exercise.

Review: Young Leaf's Detox Tea

My love of tea is no secret. I especially love teas that will benefit my health in some way - relaxation, clarity, energy, etc. But my favorite teas with benefits are detoxing teas. Nothing helps me feel clearer than after I have done a detoxing tea.

Young Leaf's Detox Tea is a loose leaf tea that makes me feel amazing afterward! And it's not that I am running to the bathroom a lot. It is no more than usual. But somehow, I feel lighter, fresher. My mind is able to focus clearly on various issues of my day-to-day.
I appreciate the fact that this is a loose leaf tea. Somehow, that makes teas less pungent. I am always expecting a huge flavor smack when I use a tea bag, but loose leaf is more subtle. And this blend is remarkably tasty. It contains green tea, lemon myrtle, spearmint, rose hips, ginger root and more. And all of the ingredients are organic. Maybe that is why it just tastes better.
I have not noticed a lot of weight loss with this product and at this point, I really don't care. It tastes great and it makes me feel great.

Review: Little Chef Instant Read Digital Food Thermometer

My kitchen is now complete! Over the years, I have mentally kicked myself for not having a food thermometer. Whenever I made roast (which I make a lot of), divinity (which I tried once) or my husband made toffee we whined about the lack of a food thermometer to use.

Then life became easier when I got the digital food thermometer by Little Chef. And it's not like the clunky kind I would always see my grandmother using. You know - the glass kind that had the metal clip attached to it. This thermometer is slim and easy to store. I don't have to worry about it breaking in the drawer because it is made of plastic and metal.
The metal is sharp enough to pierce a roast or a chicken and get an accurate temperature reading. But, my husband can also dip it into his toffee and make sure it does not go above the required temperature. It is very easy to clean. No sticky residue has been left behind. But do not put it into a dishwasher. After all, it is digital, which means that it requires a battery to power it.

Review: Meterteck Digital Multimeter

This is a review that I did not have much of a part in, but my husband - the mechanic - did. He was in charge of this one. Why? Because it was for a multimeter with a digital readout by Meterteck. That is not a device that I use regularly (if at all), but it's guaranteed that he uses it daily. As an A&P, it's pretty much required.

That being said, this is not a multimeter for professionals. It would be perfect for your home garage where not a lot of work is done on daily basis. It is capable of performing any and all electrical diagnostic functions and it does so with good accuracy. As an added bonus, it is capable of testing resistors. It's small size is also a boon and it comes with a one-year warranty. So, SCORE!
The bad part - the negative and positive leads have a high resistance value. It also is not protected by a fuse. If you are testing amperage and you insert the leads into the circuit incorrectly, you will blow a fuse instead of the electrical circuitry of the meter. And that is why fuse protection is important.
This is recommended to tinkerers and amateur mechanics.

Review: Slim Sleeper Latex Pillow

I have a confession to make. I am a tummy sleeper . . . with back problems. *GASP!* I really try not to sleep on my tummy too much because it does irritate my back the next morning. When I use a regular pillow, it hurts. When I go without a pillow, it hurts.

But when I go with a Slim Sleeper Latex Pillow, it does not hurt. The simple answer is because it is thin. It does not crane my neck either way when I sleep on my stomach. That is what I love the most about it.
What do I love next? It is actually comfortable. It is made with a natural latex foam. This provides a soft enough area for me to rest my head without it being too soft. You know - it's not a pillow that squishes completely when you lay your head down.
I also love that it allows me to breathe easily through my nose. I hate breathing hot air, especially air that I have exhaled. It's stifling. This pillow has pin holes that allow for cool breathing air and because of it's foam, it does not slowly creep up into my face as the night goes on. So, no more waking up in the middle of the night because my nostrils are on fire.
Did I mention that the pillow does not get overheated? I do not have to flip this pillow over in order to get a cool sensation on my face. And since it is hypoallergenic, it is great for those with allergies.
