Review: Francois et Mimi 50 Ounce Stainless Steel Coffee Press

As you have probably guessed, my husband and I are both coffee lovers. We drink it right away in the morning. That's the first thing I take care of when I get up. I put water on to boil, add coffee grounds to my French press and then pour the water on top.
Francois et Mimi gave me the opportunity to review their 50 Ounce Stainless Steel Coffee Press. Now, 50 ounces - that's a lot of coffee! And it's glorious! Tony takes a large travel mug filled with coffee to work every morning. Afterward, there is still enough coffee left for me to have two cups. This French press has become our primary. Just because of the amount of coffee that it holds.
It is also easy to live with this French press. It can go in the dishwasher and come out looking sleek and shiny without water spots. The plunger is easily pushed down, keeping all of the coffee grounds at the bottom and releasing the coffee oils that are essential for an excellent taste. The French press also does a good job at keeping the coffee hot, even without being insulated. But, just because it's not insulated, does not mean it gets hot on the outside. You can still touch it with hot coffee inside and not worry about burning your fingers.
And, the slick, modern look of it - it goes great with the coffee mugs we got from Francois et Mimi. They are the same style.
All in all, this is the best French press we have had. And we don't need to get another one for a long time. After all, it is stainless steel. It's not going to break anytime soon.
Full disclosure: I was sent this French press in exchange an honest and unbiased review.

  1. My Mom loves using a coffee press and this one looks better than any I've yet seen. This is going on the Mother's Day gift list.
