I'm always up for increased energy, especially with having an 8-year-old and a 2-year-old to chase after. And with having an immune system that is less than ideal (Type 1 diabetic), I can always use extra help with that.
I began taking the CoQ10 from OptimalXT in an effort to get a boost in both of those areas. It worked okay with one and unfortunately, not at all in the other.
I did feel more energized throughout the day. My desire to take a nap at around 1 or 2 o'clock in the afternoon faded. It has been nice to do my daily tasks without thinking, "Gee. My bed sure does look inviting right now."
However, the immune support is where this supplement falls short. Since it is cold and flu season, maybe it just was destined to fall short. But, I got a cold the day after Thanksgiving and I had been taking this supplement for a week prior. I have been taking the supplement every day and I still have the cold. In fact, everyone in my household, with the exception of my daughter, developed the cold. Lucky her. So, maybe it was destined to be. It would have been nice to get that immune boost, but it did not arrive.
Full disclosure: I was sent this product free of charge in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
