Review: I-Gruv Wool Dryer Balls

I have heard a lot about wool dryer balls in this past year. I have wanted to try them, but it was not until recently that I got the opportunity. When these dryer balls showed up in my mail, I knew that day was going to be laundry day! Yes. I got excited over laundry, especially when I saw that I could scent the balls with the various essential oils I have.

   Now, we share a laundry room with other people in our four-plex. Unfortunately, the dryers do not always work the best. Sometimes, you have to run the dryer cycle twice in order to achieve the dryness that you desire. I really dislike that and I had heard about how dryer balls will help your laundry achieve dryness more efficiently. I wanted to test that out by doing a load of towels. The towels never get fully dry on one cycle. I put in six of the dryer balls with some peppermint essential oil added. I then put in the towels and turned on the dryer. Forty-five minutes later, I checked it out.
   I am happy to say the towels were dry! Completely dry! There was no second cycle for this load. Also, no hanging them in random locations around my house. Plus, they all had a wonderful peppermint smell! It was almost Christmasy! Now, just because I used a peppermint oil does not mean that the dryer balls are designated to peppermint forever. When I did the bedding, I wanted to use a more mellow and relaxing oil, so I added lavender. There was no smell of peppermint afterward, but instead the soothing scent of lavender. My son loved his freshly cleaned and scented blankie. I love these! No more dryer sheets for me! This is a definite upgrade. Recommended.
