Review: Gear Ultimate's Pure Copper Mug

We are fans of metal utensils in our kitchen. Slowly, we are acquiring more stainless steel and copper and replacing all of the glass, plastic and ceramic. For one - they do not break as easily. We have a two-year-old boy, so broken dishes are a way of life. For two - they look awesome! Seeing the metal dishes and utensils shine in the light is awesome.

   I recently acquired this mug because it fit the criteria we have set in our kitchen. Namely - metal. My husband fell in love with it when it arrived. He immediately said "MINE!" He used it to drink iced coffee the following morning. It is important that you do not put hot liquids into this mug. I do not know if the hot beverage will take on a copper taste, or what. Cold beverages do not take on a coppery taste, my husband was happy to report.
   Of course, this comes will more standard care than your standard ceramic coffee mug. You cannot wash this in the dishwasher. After you wash it by hand, dry it immediately. Also, do not allow your beverage to sit in the mug overnight, because stains will be caused. Eventually, this mug will take on a natural tarnish, which I am looking forward to. I love the rustic look of tarnished copper. If you do not mind putting in a little more work into your drinkware, then I recommend this.
