Review: Francois et Mimi Stainless Steel Insulated Coffee Mugs

There is one thing that is certain when you are a coffee drinker and you live in a house with small children. Mugs will be broken. So many of our mugs have taken that fatal tumble to the kitchen floor and shattered. When I got the
opportunity from Francois et Mimi to review a set of four Stainless Steel Insulated Coffee Mugs, I knew my days of picking up broken mug pieces off of the floor was over!
Upon arrival, they looked rather plain, but when I took them out of the box, I found they had a smart modern look. Tony carefully inspected them and gave them his seal of approval, especially after finding the handles were welded on.
These also hold more coffee than the standard ceramic coffee mug, which was a boon for both of us. But, we thought that would come with a downfall - the more coffee in a mug, the sooner it tends to cool. Because you can't drink it fast enough for it to stay hot. However, these are insulated so they hold the heat of the coffee very well. I can walk away from my half-full mug for 30 minutes (I've reluctantly done it before) and come back to find it is still pleasantly warm. Granted, it had cooled, but it certainly wasn't room temperature.
If you are looking for high quality coffee mugs that hold plenty of hot coffee and will not shatter upon contact with the floor, than look no further. At $29.95, these are well worth it.
Full disclosure: I was sent a set of four mugs in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
