Review: Witches Protection Program by Michael Phillip Cash

I love fictional witchcraft stories (not as much as I love historical accounts of "witchcraft"). So, I was happy to be given the opportunity to review this novel.
In this book, Wes Rockville is a former law enforcement agent who recently gained black marks on his record. In an effort to redeem himself, he takes the reassignment of the
Witches Protection Program, which is a 232-year-old secret government organization. There, he is given the task of uncovering a world domination scheme by a cosmetics company while acting as bodyguard to the heiress of the company.
First, let me say: world domination by a cosmetics company? That sounds rather fantastical and campy. It takes me back to the 1980s when it seemed Aqua Net was infiltrating every person's home. And the name of the heiress is Morgan Pendragon. That name sounds very familiar to me . . . oh yes, King Arthur! No matter how hard I tried to erase the image of the legendary Morgan, I could not. I kept seeing a sorceress in distress rather than an attractive heiress.
Now, that being said, while this book does have faults, I got a guilty pleasure from reading it. Cash sets a nice pace and manages to instill a desire to read more, even though you may already know what is about to happen. It's a nice Sunday afternoon read.

Review: Vita G Korean Red Panax Ginseng

I know ginseng has been around for quite some time, but I have never actually taken it. When I received an offer to try this one out, I figured why not, especially when I read what this supplement does. That is supporting your mental health, improving athletic endurance and promoting sexual health.
Now, I've been taking a plethora of mental health supplements, so I have not noticed a significant difference there. I have however, noticed that when I go to the gym, my performance lasts longer. I have also noticed that my libido is stronger, which makes my husband happy.
The instructions for this product are very easy - one to two capsules every day. I take two capsules right away in the morning. This supplement does not really make me happier. It does not meet any needs that I have physically, mentally or emotionally, but it is a nice one to have nonetheless.
If you decide to check this out, you can get a $5 discount voucher code. The code is: EZOMIN5V and it expires at the end of this month.

Review: Natures Nectar's Clear Mind

I have been plagued off and on with migraines since I was in the fourth grade. The last one hit me three months ago and it was a bad one - blinding pain, vomiting, dizziness, confusion. My husband ended up taking me to the ER because he had never seen one hit me that bad before. And it had been a
while since I had a migraine.
Since that time, I have spent more time trying to figure out ways to ensure that another does not strike out of the blue. That is when I came across Natures Nectar's Clear Mind. It contains ingredients such as vitamin B-2, magnesium, feverfew herb powder and butterbur powder. Now, the last two, I have never heard of, but I was willing to give it a try.
I had never tried a preventive medication. I always turned to migraine pain relievers when they did hit. And so far, no migraine has struck. I cannot honestly say whether that is due to the infrequency of mine or if it is due to this supplement. However, as long as the migraines stay away, I will continue to take this. If a migraine hits while I am taking this, then I know it was not working. For now, let's say that it is.

Review: Vino Royale Wine Glass Pen Set

I never really thought much about marking wine glasses. I mean, I've seen name cards at weddings and whatnot, but I have never seen names actually written on the glasses. The initial thought of it? Kind of campy.

But, when I saw the Vino Royale Wine Glass Pen Set and the lovely metallic colors of the inks, I was hooked. Why did I not have these at my wedding 10 years ago?! Because I never knew they existed until now, and if you are in the same boat where I was 10 years ago, you cannot use that as an excuse (IT'S MINE!!).
When I particularly love about these pens is that the writing is super easy to clean off. Whatever is written on the glass does not have to be there until the end of time. You can also write on whatever glass you want - mirrors, jars, ceramics, etc.
Of course, you do need to follow the directions. After you write it, let it dry for three to five minutes. Trust me on this one. The ink will smear and get on your fingers. Does it wash off? Yes, but you will have to write it again. And if you want to get as much as possible out of these pens, you want to store them with the tip down for ink preservation.

Review: Arabica Coffee Scrub

I am always on the lookout for different bath products. After becoming a mother, my desire for the ultimate bath experience has grown. I had not tried many body scrubs before, but I received the opportunity to try First
Botany's Arabica Coffee Scrub and figured "Why not?"
Opening the container, the smell is pleasant. You can immediately smell the coffee. My husband is somewhat of a coffee snob, so he attuned it to cheap gas station coffee. I did not care. It smelled like coffee and I was going to love rubbing it on!
Of course, scrubs are going to be rough on your skin - they're supposed to be. As I was scrubbing, there were a few seconds where I thought I drew blood, but that was me being a woose. After I got done, my skin felt smooth and soft and the cracked callouses on the heels of my feet were considerably smoother.
This product is good for cellulite, varicose veins and is great for restoring elasticity. I believe it after the way my skin feels.
The only thing I would change about this is the smell does not last very long. Normally, my skin takes on a scent akin to whatever I used to clean it, but there was no such smell. I asked Tony to sniff my arm and he said there was no coffee smell. I would have loved to walk around for a few hours smelling like coffee, but it was not to be.

Review: NutroVape Inhalable Sleep Aid

My husband suffers frequently from insomnia, and I am always looking for different solutions to his problem. He refuses to take prescribed sleep medication because he said they make him feel like ass. So, that means I am left with alternative solutions, which is just fine for both of us.

I recently found out about NutroVape Inhalable Sleep Aid. I wanted to see if this would help my husband. After all, the NutroVape inhalable energy did wonderful (when it worked). Upon arrival, my husband looked at it with apprehension. So many things have not worked. I think he has pretty much given up hope of finding anything.
Now, I was able to try it once before I had to leave for a funeral. Tony does not sleep well when I am gone, so I left the sleep aid with him to try. When I came back, he did not seem to be tired and irritable. He said that the sleep aid did help him a little bit, but he certainly did not get the standard 7-8 hours. He got 5, which is an improvement for him.
I wanted to try it again when I got back, but he misplaced it and I have yet to find it. So, I cannot personally attest too much as to how it works. However, Tony can. The flavor is not bad and the battery held its own against his use. This one did putz out.

Review: Simply Klever Ladies Silicone Wedding Ring

Before you say anything, just take a moment to think about this product. Over the years, women have become more active physically and in the workforce. There are women performing what are traditionally men's jobs - such as
mechanics. And in those types of professions, a wedding ring can become a liability.
Not all women (or men) want to remove their rings when they go to work or when they exercise. I know I always feel better when my ring is on my finger. It might be safely in my jewelry box, but I prefer to wear it. And I know there are times when I should not because it might get damaged or I might lose it. Although, it is a part of me now. I feel naked without it. This is where Simply Klever's Ladies Silicone Wedding Ring comes into play. It gives me the illusion of wearing my real wedding ring.
Since these are silicone, they are flexible and not likely to hurt your finger or get damaged if they get caught on something. And if they do get damaged, it is silicone and at least it is not your metal ring.
I like that this product comes in three different colors - pink, black and teal. This allows me to color coordinate with what I am wearing (although I really shouldn't have to). It also gives me backups just in case one breaks. The rings also fit nicely. They don't pinch and they're not so loose that I get a paranoid feeling of it falling off. So, this is a good and comfy substitution for your wedding ring. Recommended.

Review: Courting Justice: Landmark Supreme Court Case Can Offer Justice for U.S. Victims of Iranian Terror

I enjoy books regarding legal cases and situations. The books can be fictional or non-fiction. As long as they retain my interest, I do not care. However, when they do not retain my interest, the books get long and boring and it takes me back to when I had to read The Grapes of Wrath in high school.
At first, this book - Courting Justice - was interesting. The introduction written by Mark Dubowitz was well done. It gave a decent explanation regarding what the book was about. After the introduction though, it took quite a different turn. I want to say that the court document was just copied and put into book form. It certainly looks and reads like a court document. And if you have ever read a court document, you know how redundant and boring it can be.
Fortunately, when I was working as a reporter, I became skilled at knowing where to look in court documents and skimming through the pages to find what was relevant to what I working on. Out of habit, I took the same approach with this book. Fortunately, it is not incredibly long. If you are interested in Iranian terror, go ahead and read it. If not, skip it.

Review: Loupe Led Magnifying Glass with Light

My grandmother always had a magnifying glass sitting in a drawer in her dining room. Growing up, I would consistently grab it and play games - intently studying different surfaces, liquids and creatures that had more than four legs; or pretend I was a young female Sherlock Holmes. Ah, the joys of a magnifying glass.
Of course, the magnifying glass had a purpose for my
grandmother, so she would get after me if I did not put it back or was too rough with it. I never actually saw her using it, so I can not know what exactly she used it for.
Regardless, I wanted to have a magnifying glass in my home to give my children a chance to view things up close and personal (and me too - some things never change).
The Loupe Led Magnifying Glass with Light gives me what I was looking for, plus more. For one, I love that is comes with three interchangeable lenses - allowing for 2.5x magnification, 5x and 16x. It also comes with a cleaning cloth and brush, a credit card magnifier and a case.
The light is powered by two AAA batteries. I think the light itself could be brighter. To be honest, after initially trying the light out, I knew I was not going to utilize it too much. I probably will in a dark room, but other than that it is not going to help out much.
This is not a bad product and it brings back memories of my childhood.

Review: Trinova Castile Soap

I had never used castile soap before. In fact, I had never even heard of it until I got a bottle of Trinova Castile Soap. I was unsure what to expect until it arrived.
Then, I found out I could clean a plethora of things with this soap - floors, toilets, counters, laundry and even skin. It is an all-in-one package! Given that my laundry detergent is
starting to run low, I am looking forward to making my own. Seriously. I have been finding a variety of recipes I can use castile soap for. Since I have some essential oils in my house, I can make things smell extra purty!
Laundry detergent is one of the first things I will make with the castile soap. I have already cleaned the toilets to a sparkly shine with this stuff (no recipe required for that).
I really appreciate that this soap is unscented. That way, I can create whatever scent I would like. I think some drops of lavender in different concoctions will create a relaxing atmosphere. This is one product I am really looking forward to utilizing in many different ways! Especially with it being a natural soap, I am assured that there will not be any dangerous chemicals used around my precious children.

Review: Toothfilm T-Spray Cosmetic Teeth & Oral Spray

Unfortunately, I have always been someone who has dealt with bad morning breath. Not sure why, but my breath in the morning could easily stun a yak. I feel sorry for my husband and kids when they encounter me before I brush my teeth. Now, with that being said, I am grateful for whatever will
help get rid of the yuckiness.
Of course, brushing the teeth is the first and foremost thing I do, but sometimes I have a bad taste lingering afterward. That might be due in part to my Type 1 diabetes. I am not sure, but I need an additional something to get rid of it. I tried Toothfilm T-Spray in Cool Mint to aid me.
First, the mint is very potent. It's not exactly my cup of tea, but it certainly is not enough to drive me away from it. However, I wish I would have tried the cranberry flavor. Second, this product goes beyond killing bad breath. It also desensitizes your teeth, forms a protective film on your teeth against stains, fights cavities and kills that nasty bacteria which lives in your mouth. So, even if bad breath is not the bane of your existence, you can still get some awesome dental help with this!
Recommended.
